Despite the serious health and safety hazards associated with the use of mineral solvents they are still often used for parts cleaning. Growing environmental concerns are also leading more companies to look for safer, yet effective alternatives. To meet this demand, CB Chemistry and Biotechnology GmbH developed Bio Circle an environmentally friendly parts cleaner. It uses a water based system containing natural bio cultures. On contact, oil and grease are biologically changed into water and carbon dioxide by micro-organisms. The result is excellent cleaning performance - without the use of solvents. The cleaning agent is constantly kept clean which means it lasts much longer than conventional cleaning agents.

Bio-Circle removes working oils, cutter coolants, corrosion protection products, weak grease and other particles using the special cleaning agent - Bio-Circle L. The easy-to-clean filter system separates coarser and finer waster particles then the oil and grease are broken down by the micro-organisms. Bio-Circle's bioremediation* process not only breaks down the contaminants but also maintains the power and cleanliness of the cleaning solution.

The plastic tank is stable, robust and will not corrode. The heating system installed in the Bio-Circle keeps the cleaning agent at its optimum temperature (41 degrees C) The air-pump ensures a steady supply of oxygen essential to the micro-organisms. In addition Bio-Circle L contains a selected combination of nutriments which ensure the micro-organisms function for the duration. Operation of the system is via an integrated plastic keypad. For ease of use the keypad has symbols to illustrate each stage of the operational process.

* The micro-organisms used are non-pathogen bacteria of group 1 acc. to Directive 200/54/EC. (Group 1 means that is is unlikely to cause human disease)
